It’s very simple and easy for the newest players to pick up and easily get how to play this game. BUT!!!!! If you look at this game alone, it’s good IMO.

From a Techno song that is super fast-paced to a very girl-y and romantic pop song to a….(If you played the first and second DJ Max Portable, you’ll know what I mean) a song that quacks? This series is a very upbeat and fast-paced game that can allow the player to customize their gear, DJ photo, and play settings by leveling up your status and gaining more stuff to further customize the game for you.If I were to compare this game to the other DJ Max Portable games (I have Black Square and Clazziquai and played all the other DJ Max Portable games), this isn’t as good as the other. It has many music genres and each song is unique to their own. DJ Max is technically the Korean equivalent to Dance Dance Revolution with some setbacks, as in you only use your fingers than your feet. R&B songs: Check.Techno songs: Check.Rock songs: Check.Pop songs: Check.Really pop songs: Check again.Really, really pop-py songs that make you wanna scream “This is better than Justin Bieber” songs: Check and check. If you don’t know what DJ Max Portable is, it’s a video game exclusive created by Koreans and was made for PSP, PC, and Arcade. You can use pictures as a psp background or to place them on your pc. All in all, I was not dissapointed, however, as others I’ve seen mention on the various message boards. The CD is enclosed in a fairly normal plastic casing, but n. You can unlock another picture for that song, by max comboing the song as a challange I dont know how this goes for the other pictures. The box is significantly smaller than every prior release. The box is a bit difficult to open, and is not as classy a packaging as say “Hot Tunes” (Japan only release) or DJ Max Portable 2. I’ll try to upload a photo of this alternate artwork, as well as pictures of the Display packaging, and contents. I also got an alternate artwork UMD cover, with my copy, which shows the young, hip, girl, eye candy singers, on the cover. This package contains the UMD version game, complete OST on CD, and color picture book of graphical drawings of gameplay visuals.

I have all the Limited Editions, for every PSP release, accept for DJ Max Portable 1. I have played a bit, though, so I’ll note a few, key new offerings.Firstly, the package is understated, compared to it’s past offerings most notably DJ Max Portable 2. Look for a re-edit at a later time, after I get a chance to wrap my thumbs around the new gameplay. While DJ Max Fever came out here, in North America, it was a rehash, and not quite what DJ Max #3 brings to the plate, this outing. This review is more of a review of the Limited Edition package, and less of the game itself. Thanks to PM Studios (and Pentavision!), this game franchise has finally seen it’s way West, with a totally new, and fresh game for our Stateside audience.
